Bistro Breakfast for Two
from $22.00

This painting captures a Parisian breakfast for two laid out on a classic bistro table. Textures shift from soft linens and crisp white ceramics to flaky pastries and gleaming silverware. You can almost hear two people leaning in to speak to each other, just out of view. A corkscrew of butter ties the tableware together — quietly nosy, perhaps eavesdropping on the conversation.

The palette balances warm, cool, and neutral tones, with pigments centered around yellow ochre, burnt sienna, and ultramarine blue. A thoughtful range of values — from luminous highlights to deep shadows — gives the piece depth and presence, allowing it to stand beautifully as a single focal point or as part of a gallery wall.

Macarons in her hair
from $22.00

This painting juxtaposes a neoclassical bust of a woman with the charm and playfulness of colorful macarons. Textures shift from the intricate, sculpted features of the woman’s curly hair to the bold simple shapes of the macarons. The gray and moss green of the statue allow the pastel colors of the macarons to really shine and draw the eye up. A soft field of violet puts both the bust and the macarons into the same context.

The palette balances warm, cool, and neutral tones, with pigments centered around quinacrodone rose, burnt sienna and ultramarine blue. A thoughtful range of values — from luminous highlights to deep shadows — gives the piece depth and presence, allowing it to stand beautifully as a single focal point or as part of a gallery wall.

Hi — I’m Eswen

I work primarily in watercolor because it feels alive: unpredictable, luminous, and occasionally mischievous (much like me with iced coffee).

I’m drawn to everyday beauty — the things we often pass by but secretly love. If you’ve ever felt nostalgic about a 1980s toy, a particularly good pastry, or a patch of perfect afternoon light, we’re probably on the same wavelength.

I’m always open to collaborate.
