Pacific Northeast Creations grew out of my love for slow looking — really noticing how light moves across a table, how a petal curls, or how a lemon seems to glow like it’s having its own quiet spotlight moment.

My work celebrates the beauty in ordinary things: the objects we pass every day but secretly cherish.

Meet Eswen

I work primarily in watercolor because it feels alive. The water moves, blooms, and occasionally surprises me — which is exactly why I love it.

I’m drawn to subjects that make me smile, or even laugh. My hope is that someone else feels that same spark of joy when they see my work. If I had enough wall space, I’d happily hang every painting I make in my own home.

My process is slow and meditative, building color and light layer by layer until the painting feels luminous — and just a little mischievous. I work carefully and methodically, but never at the expense of warmth, softness, or the quiet pleasure of something handmade.

When I’m not painting, you’ll probably find me walking my dogs, nursing a very serious cup of tea, or scheming about my annual gingerbread party.

I like my everyday life to feel just a bit magical — and I hope my paintings bring that spark of wonder to others too.

What makes Pacific Northeast different

My work is rooted in slow looking — pausing long enough to notice light, texture, and feeling before ever touching a brush to paper. I paint with transparent layers of watercolor so color can breathe, glow, and shift the way it does in real life.

Each piece balances precision with warmth: careful observation paired with a gentle sense of play. Nothing is rushed, nothing is fussy — just quiet attention and a lot of care.
